Members of Public council at Internal Affairs Directorate in Khabarovsk area summed up work in summer

A regular session of the Public council at the Internal Affairs Directorate in Khabarovsk area took place to recapitulate the results of activity during the summer vacations.

One of significant events was a round table meeting together with the head of the public association "Opora Rossii" ("Support of Russia"), representatives of the business community of the area and employees of the administrative department for prevention of economic crimes of the the Internal Affairs Directorate in Khabarovsk area where aspects of interaction and measures of counteraction to corruption were considered.

Just before the school year the deputy head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the area K. Noskov together with members of the public council, representatives of services and units of the regional Internal Affairs Directorate visited children's asylum no. 4. For children sets of writing utensils, sports clothes and sports stock were prepared. Also, the children received their most favorite delicacy from members of the public council and veterans, ice-cream.

Also a plan of the Council's work in the second half of the year was considered at the session. It was largely corrected, and more events were added such as the participation in events and activities on the occasion of the Elderly Person's Day and laying flowers on the Memory Day and others.

Besides, the members of the public council will participate in the preventive operation "Alcohol" carried out by the Internal Affairs Directorate in Khabarovsk area. Together with children they will go to shops to detect places where alcohol products and cigarettes are still sold to children.

The member of the council Y. Larionova asked to render assistance to children treated at the oncologic and hematologic branch of the regional children's hospital who needed urgent help after operations. The small inhabitants of Khabarovsk were in need of blood transfusions. The members of the council made a decision to launch a blood donation campaign on the following day. Especially significant is the contribution of ataman A. Vasyagin who involved representatives of the Cossack community in blood donation for children.
