Counter-terrorism practice in Khanty-Mansiysk

The purpose of carrying out a counter-terrorism practice was to check and train practical actions of the operative group for suppression of acts of terrorism, which is of special importance on the threshold of the 39^th World Olympic Chess Games and the 81^st FIDE Congress in Khanty-Mansiysk.

During the practice, some issues and points concerning the organization and performance of actions aimed at the suppression of an act of terrorism at an object with mass congregation of people, the neutralization of a threat of explosion, the minimization and liquidation of its consequences were trained.

More than 270 representatives of various departments (militia, the Federal Security Service, the Emercom, the Center of disaster medicine, the counter-terrorism committee) took part in the counter-terrorism practice.

During the incident-specific practice, dog experts with tracker dogs were involved along with 60 motor vehicle units.

The representatives of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Khanty-Mansi and Yugra autonomous region and the operative Headquarters of Tyumen region highly appreciated the organization and results of the practice.
