Children's automobile race started in Khabarovsk

On September 2, a children's automobile race started on the route "Khabarovsk - Nakhodka - Khabarovsk". It is devoted to the 65^th Anniversary of the termination of the Second World War and the opening of the motorway "Chita - Khabarovsk".

The purposes of the automobile race are: prevention of traffic injuries involving children and developing the children's skills of safe behavior in streets and in transport vehicles.

Also it should contribute to the propagation of observance of traffic safety rules among school children, the youth leisure arrangement and get them interested in going in for technical kinds of sports regularly.

On the first day of the automobile race a meeting took place at the memorial "Eternal Fire" on Slavy Square (Glory Place). Among the participants were veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants of military actions and rear area toilers. The young traffic inspectors laid flowers in memory of the perished defenders of Fatherland. After that, the column of cars of the club "Avtoretro" visited combat glory places of Khabarovsk city.
