The special militia group of Penza arranged an unusual event on the Day of knowledge for children from the patronized boarding school no. 1 of Penza. The bus with the fosterlings arrived on the military range right after the solemn assembly accompanied by fighters of the special unit.
The event started with a dress parade held by the assistant commander of the regional special militia forces lieutenant colonel of militia Nikolay Rukavishnikov. He congratulated the children on the beginning of the school year and wished them good luck in sports meetings: "I hope that in the near future we will see you among employees of our unit and you will protect the Fatherland just as the special militia fighters do today."
The participants of the competition were divided into 4 teams. They were to put on a bullet-proof jacket and a gas mask and to drag a box with ammunition supplies to a specified destination point, the equipment on them, then to assemble or disassemble an automatic machine as quickly as possible and to cast a grenade as far as possible. In conclusion of the relay race they shot at targets using Airsoft guns. The challenge was difficult, but many succeeded.
The special militia fighters who supervised each stage of the relay race helped and encouraged the patronized children.
"We have been maintaining the friendly relationship with the Penza special militia unit for over 5 years, and we very proud of this friendship," said the senior tutor of the boarding school Svetlana Ryazanova. - "All children living with us have difficult destinies. They were deprived of the most important thing, their parents' love and this is what we carry out such joint meetings and activities for. Ours "patrons" embody the courage, honesty and nobleness which have been in scarce supply lately".
The winners of the contests were awarded cups, diplomas and the sports equipment provided by the All-Russia society "Dynamo".
After the relay race the hungry children were treated to tasty lunch prepared by the special militia fighters in a field kitchen: the buckwheat porridge with sausages and tea were so appetizing that some of the children even asked for seconds.
This year the fighters of the special militia forces of Penza intend to carry out similar events with other pupils.
