East-Siberian Internal Affairs Directorate of transport made experiment to check vigilance of passengers

During the summer period when at railway stations especially it is a lot of passengers, again actual there are questions of maintenance of safety of passenger transportations.

On July 20, 2010 employees East-Siberian the Internal Affairs Directorate of transport together with workers of the East-Siberian railway arranged the preventive campaign "Provocation" in which under the scenario the careless passenger put a box near to station cash desks, and itself left, ostensibly casually forgetting about it. At this time on loud communication appears about rules of behavior of passengers at detection of ownerless bags and subjects. In seven minutes, and the girl standing in a queue at cash desk paid attention to the left box. It made all correctly, at once approached to the duty officer on station and informed on an ownerless subject.

The purpose of this campaign, first of all, increase of vigilance of passengers of a railway transportation. The help from citizens in detection of extraneous subjects only is welcomed, after all in case of the present act of terrorism of diversion it can rescue human lives.

Besides all halls of railway station are equipped by chambers of supervision with a conclusion of the image to the panel of the duty officer the line internal affairs department at station Irkutsk. The telephone hotline of transport militia round the clock functions. Also at station buttons of a safety communication "passenger-militia" on which it is possible to call police squad operatively are established.

All this complex of actions is aimed at maintenance of safety of journey of passengers and counter-terrorism security of objects of a railway transportation.
