Three years ago first young visitors, pupils of middle schools of the regional center, appeared on the base of the special militia forces of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Tyumen region. Within the limits of the campaign "Week of courage" the children were invited by the head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate Pavel Nedorostov on an excursion in the group.
Within a week the special militia fighters showed the children hand-to-hand combat techniques, took them on a drive by an armored troop-carrier, showed modern facilities and weapons, fed with field dinner meals. Not only children, but their tutors were delighted with the meetings. They eagerly shared impressions with colleagues and contemporaries.
The undertaking of the head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate was supported by members of the Public council at the Central Internal Affairs Directorate. Now there is no month without a visit of children from the nearest rural schools, fosterlings of children's asylums, children from patriotic clubs to fighters of the special militia forces.
The summer time was no exception. Now managers of school camps send requests for the organization of similar excursions to the general.
On July 7, a meeting of pupils of the summer camp "Multfilm"at school no. 66 of Tyumen with employees of the special militia forces of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Tyumen region took place under the guidance of the assistant to the commander of the special militia forces major of militia Alexander Kvitashov. As he said, fighters of the special unit pay special attention to the education of the younger generation, for the future of the whole country depends on what is shaped at teenage age.
At the present excursion the school children got acquainted with the history of creation of Tyumen special militia forces and basic aspects of the group's activity. They were shown various types of weapons, explosives, regimentals of sappers and bomb-disposal experts.
Besides, the children had the opportunity to have a drive with an armored troop-carrier. As a keepsake about the meeting they now have photos and the confidence that it was not the last one.
