Best dog experts are chosen at Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Volgograd region

On July 2, 2010, results of the individual and team event contest for dog experts of territorial units of law enforcement bodies were summed up at the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Volgograd region.

Today, more than 400 dogs serve the people and the law at the dog expert service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate in Volgograd region which is one of the largest services in the Southern federal district. Every year, tracker dogs help militia officers disclose and prevent more than one and a half thousand crimes.

The best dog experts of district law enforcement bodies together with their dogs arrived to take part in the contest to show and simultaneously to check the level of proficiency and excellence of tracker dogs, the skills and proficiency of employees themselves.

During the contest the dog experts showed how their four-footed friends mastered the general training course, how they overcame the combat course, searched for explosives, drugs and ammunition supplies. The competition made it possible to choose best dog experts.

As a result, the inspecting dog expert of the zone dog breeding center of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate Galina Korbeleva with herward Jilly was unrivalled in searching for explosives. The inspecting dog expert Viola Shepilova and her dog Shelly turned out real profis in the drug search mission while the inspecting dog expert Roman Lezhnev with his ward Omar has been ranking first in the general training profile for years.

The winners will represent Volgograd region at the all-Russian contest.
