Militia officers of Orel region helped an inhabitant of Bryansk region who was in trouble on the road. He wrote a letter of thanks to the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate Yuri Savenkov with a request to award the employees who had not been indifferent to his misery.
The man got his tyres punctured on the road and made sure first-hand that being a militia officer was not a profession, but a missions. Now he gratefully recollects the militia officers of Orel region who lent him a helping hand on the way.
The inhabitant of Bryansk region Sergey Chizhikov frequently visits our region. He often goes to his relatives in Znamenskoye district by car. Not long ago, the man went there again taking his daughter and his two-year-old grand daughter with him. Unfortunately, he got two tyres of the car at once punctured. The Intolerable heat started to affect them all, the grand daughter broke into tears. The drivers speeding by did not react to the driver's appeals for help. No-one condescended even as much as to stop.
"Then, as it always happens in trouble, I recollected our militia," Sergey Chizhikov writes in the letter. "I decided to appeal in Znamenskoye internal affairs department for help, though I understood that this it was well of the militia officers' beat.
That day, major of militia Victor Onishchenko was on duty. He had served dozens of years - way enough to understand at once that the people had got into trouble far from settlements in strong heat needed urgent help. Any delay or untimely rendered assistance could lead to serious trouble.
"He was very attentive to me and listened to me intelligently and told me to wait just a bit for the help which he would send immediately," wrote the touched pensioner. "Literally in some minutes three militia employees arrived. As I learnt later, they were the senior road supervision inspector Vyacheslav Grishaev, the senior interrogating officer Andrey Pugachov and the precinct militia officer Vladimir Afonichev". They took the daughter and the grand daughter of the man to the relatives and picked the damaged tyres to have them repaired.
After a while they returned and helped the man suffering from the heat to put the wheels back in their places.
"I would like to express my huge gratitude to the excellent employees who serve in the internal affairs department in Znamenskoye district," wrote Sergey Chizhikov. "I am keen on making this case public. After all, meeting such people one comes to be proud of our militia.
At the present time, the management of the Internal Affairs Directorate in Orel region considers Sergey Ivanovicha Chizhikova's offer about awarding the employees.
