Kazan militia officers are best in Europe
The team "Dynamo - Ministry of Interior in Republic Tatarstan" became the champion of the ice hockey tournament during the European games of policemen and firemen which took place from June 26 till July 3, 2010 in the Princedom Andorra.
This sports games were held for the first time. The program of the tournament included ice hockey, football, volleyball, Rugby football and other sports events. The strongest national teams of the European countries took part in the games.
During the hockey tournament the team "Dynamo - Ministry of Interior in Republic Tatarstan" comprising 27 representatives of Kazan militia bodies defeated the picked team of policemen and firemen of Andorra (with the final score 22:1), Spain (5:2), France (5:2) and in the final game, the united teams of Italy, France and Andorra (14:1).
The RF Minister of Interior General of the Army Rashid Nurgaliev congratulated the hockey players on the victory.
The text of the congratulatory telegram is as follows
"I heartily congratulate all employees of militia of Tatarstan on the victory of the ice hockey team "Dynamo - Ministry of Interior in Republic Tatarstan" in the European games of policemen and firemen in the Princedom Andorra in 2010!
The physical training and the development of sports have always been a priority of the Ministry of Interior of Russia. And as result, sportsmen in militia uniforms traditionally rank among first at prestigious international competitions. Showing much strength of will, backbone and the sports stamina, employees of the law enforcement bodies not only improve the prestige of the Russian militia through their achievements, but also honorably defend the authority of the Russian Federation on international sports arenas.
I am double as pleased with the gold medals won in the real man's sports event, ice hockey. In recent years the Ministry of Interior of Russia has no rivals in this event as far as employees of law enforcement bodies of other states are concerned. The present victory of the team "Dynamo - Ministry of Interior in Republic Tatarstan" is another confirmation of this fact. With all my heart I wish all the players of the team good luck, health, further professional and sports success!
